Smartwatch UI

A self-initiated smartwatch design exploration, focused on fitness watch screens.

Date

20 June 2026

Scope

A craft exploration.

This exploration focuses on visual design and small-screen accessibility, rather than research, testing, or product strategy. I recognize that real products need deeper data-backed decisions. The screens are static for now; with more time, I’d build the full flows that connect them.

Accessibility Consideration

Greyscale tested

Lightness varied (not just hue)

Accessible for color-vision differences

Black-background contrast checked

Color never the only signal

Fingertip-sized targets (> 44px)

Glanceable type (smallest text size 16pt)

One clear action per screen

Accessibility note

  • The sleep bar stays label-free to keep the glance view simple.

  • The key takeaway is shown in text: total sleep duration.

  • Tapping the bar opens the full sleep breakdown.

Navigation note: This page is a hidden room with no door from Home, so keep the link handy if you want to find your way back!
